Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
1. Our Plans
- Explorer — free, no payment required.
- Scholar — $7 USD per month, recurring, with a 7-day free trial.
- Master — $14 USD per month, recurring, no trial.
- Lifetime — $45 USD, one-time payment, not recurring.
2. When Billing Begins
For Scholar, no charge is made during the 7-day trial; the first $7 charge is taken by PayPal when the trial ends. For Master, the first $14 charge is taken when you complete checkout. For Lifetime, the single $45 charge is taken when you complete checkout.
3. How Subscriptions Renew
Scholar and Master renew automatically each month through PayPal at the same price until cancelled. Lifetime never renews.
4. How to Cancel
You can cancel from your PayPal account (Settings → Payments → Automatic payments) at any time, or from the email address on your Qalam account via the support contact provided on this website.
5. What Cancellation Means
Cancelling stops future recurring charges. It is not automatically a refund of a payment already made. Access generally continues until the end of the period you already paid for, after which your account returns to the free Explorer plan. Your learning progress is not deleted by cancelling.
6. Refunds
Refund eligibility is subject to the applicable refund terms presented at the time of purchase. The final refund terms will be presented to you before purchase, and your applicable consumer rights remain unaffected. Refunds are not unlimited and are assessed case by case, taking into account how much the service was used during the billing period and whether a technical fault prevented you from using it. Free trial periods are not refundable because they are not charged.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please use the support contact provided on this website from the email address on your Qalam account. Support contact details will be provided on this page before paid services are launched. When you contact us, include:
- The email address on your Qalam account
- The plan you purchased (Scholar, Master, or Lifetime)
- The date of the charge and the PayPal transaction ID
- The reason for the request
Approved refunds are returned through PayPal to the original payment method.
8. Cancellation and Refunds Are Separate
Cancelling a subscription does not create a refund request, and requesting a refund does not automatically cancel a subscription. If you want both, do both.
9. Your Consumer Rights
Where the law in your country gives you stronger cancellation or refund rights than this policy, those rights apply and are not limited by this policy.
10. Contact
