Four words
هذا this (m) · هذه this (f) · ذلِكَ that (m) · تِلْكَ that (f). Note: هذا is pronounced hādhā, with a long ā that isn't written.

هذا كِتاب = this is a book. هذه سَيّارة = this is a car. Ask: ما هذا؟ (what is this?).
